Chicago Strings is a full service violin shop located in the heart of Evanston, offering fine string instruments as well as professional level violin, viola, and cello repairs, fine bow rehairs and restoration. We offer fine antique, modern, as well as the best sounding student instruments available at a fair price. Chicago Strings also carries a full line of strings, accessories, cases, sheet music, instructional books and offers all sizes of violin, viola, and cello rentals for students.

Bow Specialist – Juan Horie
Native from Caracas, Venezuela, Juan began his relationship with bows 15 years ago in Caracas. He opened his own workshop and had a growing clientele of more than 150 musicians from Simon Bolivar Symphony and the Teresa Carreño Symphony, the top orcheatras of Venezuela’s aclaimed SISTEMA. He perfected his rehairing and restoration skills with advise from reknowned bow maker Thomas Gerbeth. In 2017 Juan immigrated to the United States and became the bow specialist for Chicago Strings. Juan was a member of the Teresa Carreño Symphony Orchestra in Venezuela and is currently the cellist for Ensemble Dal Niente in Chicago.
Sales – Pascal Innocenti
Violinist and founder of the Innocenti Strings, Mr. Innocenti is a former member of Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Originally from Monaco (Monte Carlo), his french accent will be one of his best assets. He won first prize at the conservatoire de Reuil Paris and has a Master of Music in Violin Performance at the University of Cincinnati (CCM), After earning a Gold Medal in Chamber Music at the Conservatoire de Music d Orcay Competition, he then was invited to perform at the Aspen Music Festival where he fell in love with America and now lives happy ever after with his lovely wife Isabelle and daughter Chloé in Evanston.
