Chicago Strings has been serving Chicagoland musicians since 2009 and is now located in the heart of Evanston. Owner Jeff Yang is a nationally known musician who was the violin soloist with Mannheim Steamroller and first violinist with Corky Siegel’s Chamber Blues. He is also the Artistic Director of the multi-sensory project, In The Realm Of Senses. Locally, he performs regularly with Chicago Philharmonic and many ensembles all over Chicagoland. Being a versatile player and a knowledgeable about instruments and tone, he is a specialist at tonal adjustments of stringed instruments.
Mr. Yang has the ability to cater to the very specific needs of the performing musicians as well as finding the right instrument at the right price for the professional or the student. Violinist and founder of the Innocenti Strings, Mr. Innocenti is a former member of Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Originally from Monaco (Monte Carlo), his french accent will be one of his best assets. He won first prize at the conservatoire de Reuil Paris and has a Master of Music in Violin Performance at the University of Cincinnati (CCM), After earning a Gold Medal in Chamber Music at the Conservatoire de Music d Orcay Competition, he then was invited to perform at the Aspen Music Festival where he fell in love with America and now lives happy ever after with his lovely wife Isabelle and daughter Chloé in Evanston.
